I am very excited to begin my real estate career with United Country Realty. Real estate has always been a passion of mine; most people don’t know that in 2005 I took my first real estate course while I was a student at Florida State University. However, I ultimately felt the calling to pursue another passion first: education.
I graduated from Dixie County High School in 2003, in 2006 from Florida State University with a bachelors in English Education, in 2013 with a masters in Library Science, and again in 2018 with a masters in Educational Leadership from University of West Florida. Now, in 2020 I am endeavoring to simultaneously pursue both passions as I work to serve my colleagues, friends, and people of the tri-county area with all of their real estate needs.
I have worked as a teacher in Dixie County for over a decade, am now Dean of Students at Bronson Middle/High and a resident of Levy County, and am proud to say that my two children attend school in Gilchrist County. One reason that I felt drawn to hang my license with this area is that I truly believe that our community is one of the best places in Florida to live and raise a family.
Advocating for my fellow educators is another passion of mine, as I am the former President of Dixie County Education Association and the current Instructional Vice President of Levy County Education Association. I believe in the power of standing together to support public education. In 2018, the American Library Association unanimously awarded me the Intellectual Freedom Award for my library advocacy.
I am looking forward to getting married this coming April to a fellow educator. United Country helped us to secure our new home and I hope to help others achieve their dreams as well.
